Wessex BHI

Our December meeting will be the first Andrew James Memorial Lecture, originally due to be held in June.  Dr David Rooney will speak on the topic of “The Politics of Precision: Standard Time and Violent Protest, 1884-1914”.  Due to the 2nd national lockdown, this meeting will be online only.  Please contact the secretary (richard.steedman@gmail.com, 01962 676114) for joining instructions.

The AGM is postponed until 2021.

Changes to government regulations may require us to change our plans at short notice.  Please check this web page regularly for updates.

The British Horological Institute provides support to its members and support to the active clock and watch community.  Anybody can join, membership gives access to a monthly journal packed with information, and all the details to start working towards your own qualifications.

The Wessex BHI branch brings together the local community of enthusiasts, collectors and clock and watchmakers. We hold bi-annual auctions with a variety of lots, as well as skills evenings and talks on various horological subjects. We meet on the first Wednesday of most months at Lyndhurst community centre in the New Forest.
